Scribes dropped his new album, What Was Lost, last Friday during two sold-out CD release shows at Nectar.
The album was set to be released much earlier than last week but the studio where Scribes recorded most of the record was broken into and the master tapes of all his recordings were stolen. So not only is the title What Was Lost a quite literal reference to a pretty horrible event from Scribes’ life, it is also Scribes’ second attempt at making this record. Give “Monster,” a track off the album featuring JFK of Grayskull, a listen above.
You can download the record, which was financed by Mike McCready (the two met at a gym where Scribes works) and produced largely by Dyme Def’s Bean One, for free for a limited time over at Scribes’ website.
